Recently, China started to claim that kimchi was originated from China. A Chinese YouTuber uploaded a video related to kimchi with a hashtag "Chinese traditional food." This caused resentment among many Koreans. Also a Chinese company terminated a contract with a popular Korean YouTuber who just pressed a Like button on a comment which blamed China (although she said that she could not read all comments (because there are a lot of comments on her videos) and usually pressed a Like button on most comments.)
Kimchi, as you might know, is a traditional Korean side dish made of pickled Napa cabbage. A Chinese YouTuber made kimchi and boiled soup with freshly made kimchi. It's really ridiculous because she even did not know how to eat kimchi. It is a kind of fermented food. So, boiling soup with freshly made kimchi is a mere Cabbage Soup.
You know, China is famous for replicas but there is one thing China made with high quality: Coronavirus is the only made in China product. Everybody knows that the Corona started from Wuhan in China.
However, China did not apologize for Covid-19. On the contrary, they claimed that it's originated from other country. Really they do not know what shame is.
Kimchi, a staple in Korean cuisine, is a traditional side dish of salted and fermented vegetables, such as napa cabbage and Korean radish, made with a widely varying selection of seasonings including gochugaru (chili powder), spring onions, garlic, ginger, and jeotgal (salted seafood), etc. It is also used in a variety of soups.
