HostGator Now Offering FREE SSL with Shared Hosting Plans

HostGator Web Hosting

SSL is now included with all of HostGator's shared hosting products without additional cost. You heard that right... NO COST! An SSL Certificate helps establish trust and secure websites' and customers' information, making it harder for bad actors to mess with the information that passes between the browser and server.

Most especially, beginning in July 2018, Google Chrome browser will mark all HTTP sites as "not secure" while marking HTTP sites as "secure." In other words, if you don't have an SSL Certificate for your site, the browser bar in Chrome will say your site is not secure, which will affect SEO of your sites negatively.

Bluehost, SiteGround and A2 Hosting also offer free SSL certificates. Especially, all SiteGround customers can get a free Let’s Encrypt Wildcard SSL.

I use Bluehost's VPS plan on this blog. If you are looking for an inexpensive but good web hosting, I think Bluehost’s shared hosting will be a good choice.

If you want more stable and fast web hosting services, you might want to consider Siteground's WordPress hosting.

Just for your reference: If you sign up for web hosting services by clicking the referral links contained on this post, I can get some commission. But I do not recommend a specific web hosting service just for commission. Especially, if you sign up for Bluehost shared hosting plan by clicking this link, you will be able to use BH service with US$1/mo off, starting from US$2.95/mo.
