Easter 2019 is April 21. Many Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on this day. However, do you know Easter has nothing to do with Jesus?
The modern English term Easter, cognate with modern Dutch ooster and German Ostern, developed from an Old English word that usually appears in the form Ēastrun, -on, or -an; but also as Ēastru, -o; and Ēastre or Ēostre.

Eostre is a goddess of the spring and fertility of the Anglo-Saxon.
Eostre is believed to be the fertility goddess of the Anglo-Saxon, who they honored during the spring, but she was erased from history when they merged her legend with the resurrection of Christ after converting to Christianity. In European history, the Anglo-Saxons were pagan migrants from Northern Europe who settled in Britain in the fifth and sixth centuries.

In other words, Easter originated from a pagan goddess and has nothing to do with Jesus' resurrection. Easter egg and Easter bunny also have not based on the Bible.
In fact, Christmas has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus too. Jesus cannot be born in winter according to the Bible.
Isn't it strange? Christians say they believe in Jesus but they keep Easter and Christmas which have no relation with Jesus.
