The available PHP versions are currently 7.4, 8.0, 8.1, and 8.2. However, it's important to note that some WordPress themes or plugins may not work with PHP 8.2, so it's advisable to check the PHP version in the Tools » Site Health section of WordPress. Bluehost VPS - How to add PHP 8.2

After adding PHP 8.2, adjust PHP settings such as memory limit by searching for php in WHM and selecting MultiPHP INI Editor, and then choosing ea-php82 from the Configure basic settings of a PHP version dropdown.

It's worth noting that most popular WordPress themes and plugins are expected to work without issues on the latest PHP version. However, outdated plugins or themes may cause problems, so if any issues arise after applying PHP 8.2, it's recommended to revert to PHP 8.1 or lower. Additionally, after applying the new PHP version, it's important to check if the error_log file in the root folder is getting excessively large through FTP. If so, revert to the previous PHP version and delete the error_log file.

For shared hosting on Bluehost, PHP 8.1 is currently the highest version available, but PHP 8.2 may be added in the near future. For blog hosting, shared hosting can be a cost-effective option if using lightweight themes such as GeneratePress to ensure good speed.
