There are several good file renamers. In this post, I would like to introduce a little special (?) file rename tool using Excel VBA, made by a blogger named atmyhome.

When you open the Excel file, it will look like this:
Please click (1) Load filenames and then select multiple files. Then the filenames will appear under Column A.
You can change the filenames under Column B. And then please click (4) "Batch rename files" in Figure 1. If the changes are successful, the color of the cells will be changed to cyan.
In fact, it does not provide various options, but those who are not familiar with using complex file rename applications will prefer this tool. Sometimes the translators receive many files to translate and might need to change filenames. In such a case, this tool will be also an alternative for renaming files in batch.
